In the Wake of U.S. Supreme Court Ruling on Health Care, South Florida Physicians Tap Gables Insurance Recovery to Pursue Claims Due from Health Insurance Companies

In the wake of last week's Supreme Court decision regarding health care, Gables Insurance Recovery, Inc., "GIR" announced that it has been designated as a vendor of choice by the Dade County Medical Association and expects to continue to assist physicians in the area pursue reimbursement of due and outstanding claims for health care services and treatment rendered to thousands of patients.

GIR anticipates relieving even more health care providers from the arduous task of in house pursuit of physician fees owed by HMOS and other private insurance companies for lawfully rendered and necessary treatment to patients. Frequently, insurance companies unfairly ignore, deny or delay payment to providers for services rendered to patients, creating serious financial difficulties for health care practitioners. Studies and surveys by professional organizations have shown that when health care practices suffer financially, they shut down and the community is ultimately affected.

Executive Director, Carlos Plana, was pleased with the designation and stated that "GIR looks forward to aggressive pursuit of these claims so that insurance companies are pressured to pay what they owe and allow the doctors to get back to the business of healing and focus on quality care for patients." Plana also cited to the increase in frustration in the medical profession in collecting amounts due and the growing need for health care providers to address these matters as creating an environment where GIR services are very necessary.

General Counsel for GIR, Robert N. Pelier, reported, "Our history of recovering millions of dollars in due, unpaid health care claims and success in Florida courts in the face of persistent insurance industry challenges have prepared GIR to continue the fight to force insurance companies to honor its obligations to patients and their providers."

The DCMA Executive Committee unanimously enlisted GIR as a vendor of choice and through their Executive Director, Patricia Handler, expressed the historic organization's enthusiasm in working with GIR. GIR is a private company that pursues health care accounts receivables in South Florida.
