Hinshaw & Culbertson Uses IntApp Wall Builder for Ethical Walls, Client Confidentiality and Risk Management Reporting

Palo Alto, CA (PRWEB) March 28, 2011

IntApp, Inc., provider of the most-adopted ethical walls and confidentiality management platform for law firms, today announced that Hinshaw & Culbertson LLP, a national law firm with approximately 500 lawyers in 24 offices, uses IntApp Wall Builder to manage internal confidentiality policies, enforce information access restrictions and track compliance across the firm.

Wall Builder is a web-based ethical walls and confidentiality management software application that enables organizations to centrally control, monitor and report on user access permissions across multiple applications, including document management, accounting, portal, CRM, time entry and records management systems. It also automates notifications to individuals subject to specific policies and tracks acknowledgments for compliance purposes.

“We chose IntApp Wall Builder because it’s been broadly adopted across the legal community and has a verifiable record of scalability and success in enforcing complex information governance policies in real-world law firm environments,” said Jim Devereux, Director of Information Technology, Hinshaw & Culbertson LLP. “We appreciate that IntApp has built a product designed to integrate with rather than replace our firm’s applications and business processes, and the clear technology vision they have for the future.”

Law firms must closely manage and track internal access to client information for many reasons. These include waiver-driven ethical screens, client outside counsel guidelines, and compliance with regulations such as the HITECH Act, ITAR and several data privacy laws.

Wall Builder replaces distributed, ad hoc approaches to information security with a centralized system that provides organizations with unprecedented capability and control over user access to specific applications, documents and other information. It’s the only product for law firms that delivers real-time enforcement while updating access rights in response to attorney behavior to ensure that policies are kept up to date automatically.

“As a law firm that often counsels peers on evolving professional responsibility requirements facing the industry, we take our own risk management efforts quite seriously,” said Thomas Browne, General Counsel, Hinshaw & Culbertson LLP. “IntApp Wall Builder is an important part of our firm’s long-standing efforts to control risk and comply with professional, client and regulatory confidentiality requirements.”

“Hinshaw & Culbertson are experts in law firm risk management and we’re proud to count them as a customer,” said Pat Archbold, head of IntApp's Risk Practice Group. “Multiple, independent industry surveys highlight the overwhelming adoption of IntApp Wall Builder by the legal industry and we’re pleased to see our momentum and growth continuing unabated.”

About IntApp

IntApp provides software products and services that enable law firms to increase revenue, ensure client confidentiality, manage risk and maximize lawyer productivity. With over 150 customers, including 50% of the 100 largest US firms as ranked by The American Lawyer, and a vibrant partner community, IntApp has been embraced and endorsed as an industry standard. According to an independent industry survey conducted by the International Legal Technology Association (ILTA), IntApp Wall Builder is the most-adopted commercial ethical walls product by law firms with 150 or more lawyers.
