Heffernan’s Eric Schroeder Profiled by On Purpose Project

ORANGE COUNTY, Calif., March 6, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Eric Schroeder, a Senior Vice President at Heffernan Insurance Brokers, has been profiled in the book, "On Purpose," a fundraising effort that supports the Orange County Community Foundation.  Proceeds of the book sales will benefit the On Purpose Scholarship, a fund providing scholarships to graduating Orange County high school seniors who are leading with a cause.   

The book showcases charitable organizations and educational programs supported in the Orange County community.  Schroeder is one of forty-eight On Purpose Honorees profiled, together with the charities they support.  Schroeder's profile highlights his work with Soldiers of the Sea, a nonprofit promoting Marine Corps' values and service (www.soldiersofthesea.org). 

The On Purpose Scholarship was established in 2008 by Sheri Geoffreys to recognize and cultivate purpose-driven young adults working to create better communities.  Geoffreys says, "The On Purpose scholarship inspires young adults in Orange County to act with a positive purpose in all that they do – in their school, their personal life, their future careers and in their community, for the good of all.  I am so proud of Eric's participation in this project."
