Designation Supports Achievement of Meaningful Use

(DGI).This certification assures healthcare providers that MediTouch supports EHR “meaningful use” objectives and will help them qualify for Medicare and Medicaid cash bonuses.

DGI is one of three Authorized Testing and Certification Bodies (ATCB) authorized by the Office of the National Coordinator for Health Information Technology (ONC) of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) to review, test and certify EHRs. In order to become certified, HealthFusion passed a rigorous inspection of MediTouch’s integrated functionality, security, quality maintenance and reporting abilities.

Eligible Professionals using certified EHR/EMR systems are qualified to receive federal stimulus funds upon demonstrating meaningful use of their EHR technology. MediTouch EHR is now included on the list of certified electronic health record systems identified on the ONC’s Certified Health IT Product List (CHPL). Demonstrating meaningful use will enable healthcare providers using MediTouch to qualify for the $44,000Medicare or $64,000Medicaid cash incentives established in the 2009 Health Information Technology for Economic and Clinical Health Act (HITECH), part of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA).
