Hans Gariseb – Jack of All Sounds!

Swakopmund, Jan 18, 2010 (New Era/All Africa Global Media via COMTEX) -- Hans Gariseb is a proud man, showing off his own small production studio - a tiny room on his property in Mondesa. As a multi-talented person who has appeared on many different stages with other artists, he decided to go solo and register his own company in January last year.

"That was the best decision I could ever have taken being my own boss gives me great satisfaction. I've always been an entrepreneur and did a lot of different things at the same time and it has brought me in contact with a lot of different people," Gariseb told Art/Life.

Versatile and equally skilled at the keyboard as well as the guitar with drums as his favourite, Gariseb produces beats and also does the recording of songs for local artists.

"The mission and vision of Hans Music and Film Productions are to empower up and coming artists such as Pazzy and Citto aka Christo van Wyk. Both artists are currently featuring with well-known Stanley from Welwitschia Productions. The golden voice of Mercy also features on some of the songs of better known artists at the coast," he said.

He cited some of his accomplishments for the first year in business, which include two songs produced for Stanley and were nominated for Best Songs of the Year at the Sanlam and NBC Music Awards. Though the songs did not win, he felt that it is a start in the right direction and that it will be just a matter of time before his contributions to the music world will become big successes. He also started in August and September 2009 respectively with beats for both Stanley and Charroh (better known as the guy who did the 'Dankie Dankie' song a few years back).

Gariseb produced six songs for Allan Jonathan, better known as Swartbaster, on his new album soon to be launched. The productions for Charroh and Stanley will be finished next month when the albums are expected to be launched.

"I like to work with a team. That way I get much more done. I consider myself to be an all-rounder and can do almost any genre I believe music is universal and therefore I'm very approachable bring me your lyrics, I'll provide the music and together we can create a masterpiece," he said with his typical enthusiasm.

Gariseb is an artist you'll find on many platforms. He recently provided live background music at a women's breakfast hosted by Centre Stage Promotions cc in Swakopmund and also at a recent Women of Substance Association's seminar.
