Spotlight on post-breast cancer reconstruction

The Cancer Support Community of Philadelphia is hosting a workshop titled "Frankly Speaking About Cancer: Spotlight on Breast Reconstruction" on November 28 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the Suzanne Morgan Center at Ridgeland, 4100 Chamounix Drive.

Attendees will learn about breast reconstruction and non-reconstruction options, treatment decisions and the factors that influence it and how to prepare for and what to expect after surgery. The speaker is Dr. Suhail K. Kanchwala, assistant professor of surgery, Division of Plastic Surgery at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania.

Aetna, Einstein renew insurance contract

Aetna and Albert Einstein Healthcare Network have reached an agreement on a four-year contract renewal, maintaining network access for Aetna members in Southeastern Pennsylvania.

With this agreement, members of Aetna commercial and Medicare plans can receive covered benefits, at in-network rates, from Einstein Medical Center Philadelphia; Einstein Medical Center Elkins Park; Montgomery Hospital and Medical Center; and MossRehab.

The contract also includes 500 physicians employed by the Einstein Healthcare Network and the Fomance Physician Group.

Bebashi hosts holiday gift drive

Bebashi: Transition to Hope hosts its annual holiday gift drive to benefit families affected by HIV/AIDS.

Children and teens benefiting from this initiative live in impoverished circumstances including shelters and transitional housing.

New and unwrapped toys can be dropped off at Bebashi now through December 20. Drop off times are as follows: Monday through Wednesday, 8:45 a.m. to 4:45 p.m.; Thursday, 8:45 a.m. to 7:45 p.m. and Friday, 8:45 a.m. to 4:45 p.m.

Spirit Fitness offers Zumba exercise parties

Spirit Fitness presents a series of Zumba parties with fitness instructor Vaughnda Hilton and Z-Maniacs. The Zumba fitness parties will be held November 27 from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., December 18 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., January 29 from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. and February 26 from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at The Performance Garage, 1515 Brandywine Street.
