Greenberg Traurig Hosts Annual Employee Benefits Conference in Palm Beach County

PALM BEACH COUNTY, Fla.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Jeffrey S. Kahn, a shareholder in the Palm Beach County office of the international law firm Greenberg Traurig P.A., chaired the firm’s Annual Employee Benefits Conference held in Boca Raton on November 15th. Additional speakers included Greenberg Traurig shareholders Martin Kalb, Steven B. Lapidus, Bridget A. Berry and Marvin A. Kirsner.

Nearly 90 CEOs, CFOs, HR directors, employee benefit professionals, accountants, financial advisors, bankers, and attorneys gathered to hear the latest information on topics such as ESOP Transactions, Preserving Wealth, Social Media Rewards and Risks, Year-End Retirement Planning and Employment Tax Developments.

Lapidus is Co-Chair of Greenberg Traurig'sGlobal Benefits and Compensation group and Chairman of the firm's Miami Tax Group. His practice emphasizes executive compensation, employee benefits and estate planning.

Bridget regularly counsels employers relating to federal and state laws and regulations. She represents employers in various types of arbitrations and litigation including gender, age and disability discrimination claims, harassment, hostile work environment and retaliation claims, wage and hour claims, and Equal Employment Opportunity (EEOC) investigations and proceedings.

Kirsner has over 25 years of experience in complex issues surrounding state and local tax. He handles federal income tax, bankruptcy tax, energy tax incentives, estate and gift tax, multi-state sales tax controversies and corporate income tax controversies at the audit, appeal and trial levels. He also has experience with internet, e-commerce and telecommunication tax issues. Kirsner is a frequent speaker and writer on various tax topics.
