Gerald T. Mulligan Elected to Federal Home Loan Bank of Boston Board of Directors

BOSTON, Dec. 28 /PRNewswire/ -- Gerald T. Mulligan, President and Chief Executive Officer of LSB Corporation and its banking subsidiary, River Bank, has been elected to the Board of Directors of the Federal Home Loan Bank of Boston (the Bank). Mr. Mulligan's two-year term will commence on January 1, 2010. He previously served on the Bank's board of directors from 1987 through 1990, and from 1997 through 1998.

Mr. Mulligan is also Chairman of Savings Bank Life Insurance Company of Massachusetts. Among other affiliations, he also serves as Trustee of Caritas Holy Family Hospital in Methuen and as Director of the Boys and Girls Club of Lawrence. He previously served as President and Chief Executive Officer of Andover Bancorp, and is a former Commissioner of Banks for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.

Mr. Mulligan is a graduate of the College of the Holy Cross, Georgetown University Law Center, and Harvard Business School. He is admitted to the bars of Massachusetts, Rhode Island, and the District of Columbia.

The mission of the Federal Home Loan Bank of Boston is to support the residential-mortgage and community-development lending activities of its members, which include over 450 financial institutions across New England.
