Georgia Law Firm Hasty Pope Helps Raise Funds for Cherokee County Children

Canton, Georgia (PRWEB) May 17, 2011

<p>The Atlantia, Georgia injury law firmHasty Pope LLP has marked the month of May by giving back to deserving families in the Cherokee County community.

On May 2, Hasty Pope served as a Gold Sponsor for Sheriff Roger Garrison’s 17th Annual Charity Golf Invitational, held at beautiful Hawks Ridge in Cumming, Georgia. The firm collectively made a $5,000 donation -- $2,500 from the firm and $2,500 from William G. “Billy” Hasty, Jr., a veteran attorney who is now Of Counsel to the firm – to help raise money for important charities in the community, including Cherokee CASA for Children (Court Appointed Special Advocates) and the local Boys and Girls Club.

Last week, the firm made an additional $2,500 donation to benefit the family of Collins Dixon, an 11 year-old Cherokee County boy who was recently diagnosed with a brain tumor in the center of his brain. The funds will go to help defray the medical costs for Collins’ treatment.

Hasty Pope is a highly regarded personal injury and wrongful death law firm that has been serving clients in Georgia for more than 15 years.

“We’re all very blessed to live and work in such a wonderful community, so we feel it’s our responsibility to give back to help those of our friends and neighbors who are hurting,” said Jonathan Pope, one of the partners of the firm.

“We’ve recently provided financial assistance to a number of other community organizations to help kids, such as Cure Childhood Cancer, The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, and The Georgia Sheriff’s Youth Homes,” said Tom Pope III, the other partner in the firm.
