Generali may set up JV with Qatar Islamic Bank, Beema
Italian insurer Assicurazioni Generali (BIT:G) said on Tuesday it has signed a preliminary agreement to establish a takaful insurance joint venture with Qatar Islamic Bank (DOH:QIBK) and insurance firm Beema, partially owned by QIB.
The new entity will use the insurance technical skills of Generali Group combined with the in-depth market knowledge and distribution capabilities of QIB and Beema's skills in the takaful insurance segment.
