Gen Re Taps Jay Curran for Second VP, Account Executive Role [Professional Services Close – Up]

Gen Re announced that Jay Curran joined the company's Group & Specialty Reinsurance division, assuming a Second Vice President, Account Executive role with the Marketing and Account Management team.
Curran will be based out of the South Portland, Maine office, reporting to Stacy Varney, Vice President, Marketing and Account Management.
"Jay is a valuable addition to our marketing and account management team," said Drew King, Senior Vice President, Group & Specialty Reinsurance. "He has over 20 years' experience in group sales, as well as group and individual underwriting, having worked with direct insurers covering multiple products, including Group Life, Disability and Dental."
According to a release, before joining Gen Re, Curran was most recently a sales executive for Delta Dental of Massachusetts. Previously he worked as a sales representative at Guardian, a senior underwriter at Sun Life and MassMutual, and a senior analyst at Paul Revere.
Curran is replacing Robert (Bob) Persichette, Vice President, Senior Account Executive, who will retire from Gen Re at the end of August. "Bob has been a key member of the marketing and account management team at Gen Re since he joined the company over seven years ago," said Drew King. "He will be missed greatly by our team, his clients and many friends in the industry."
