Fireman’s Fund Insurance Company Now Offering Personal Auto Coverage Under the Allianz Brand
Allianz Personal Auto Policy Available in Eleven States
NOVATO, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Fireman’s Fund announces the launch of the Allianz Personal Auto Policy now offered in eleven states with plans to sell in even more states by the end of 2010. This new auto policy offers affordability, precision pricing, and quality claims service to customers.
Fireman’s Fund is a member of the Allianz Group, the world’s largest property and casualty insurer by revenue. Allianz insures over 50 million autos worldwide – no other carrier brings more global expertise. This new offering represents the first Allianz branded auto insurance in the U.S. and combines the financial strength and expertise of the world’s largest property insurer with the longevity and experience of Fireman’s Fund who sold the first auto insurance in the U.S.
“We are committed to selling auto insurance through independent agents,” says Darryl Page, president, Personal Insurance, Fireman’s Fund. “Customers get the best experience when they can ask questions and discuss their needs with a professional independent agent. Agents often offer the same online access as direct writers combined with the trusted relationship that customers need and deserve.”
The following states are now offering the new auto policy: AZ, CO, CT, IL, KS, MD, MO, OH, OR, TN, TX.
“Naming the coverage Allianz Personal Auto Policy makes sense,” said Duke Daugherty, vice president, Personal Auto, Fireman’s Fund. “We want our agents and customers to know about the value that our parent company adds – it insures over 50 million cars worldwide and its research is unparalleled. Naturally, we’ll continue selling our high-net-worth products under the Fireman’s Fund brand.”
The Allianz Center for Technology (AZT) in Munich, an Allianz owned and run technical research facility employing over 30 engineers, is one example of its expertise. They conduct one crash test every week of the year, improving road safety for all. With 186 million cars on the road in the United States, this is a huge benefit. AZT makes recommendations to the public and industry peers, based on evidence generated by test series and studies, e.g. damageability, repair, and safety.

- Motorcycle ABS Effectiveness
- Potential Benefits of Driver Assistance Systems in Commercial Vehicles

Precision Pricing Puts The Customer In The Driver’s Seat
Working together with an independent agent helps customers create the right policy at the right price. Technology now makes it possible to identify insurance needs, tailored to an individual’s situation, and blend them into a customized policy that fits their budget. And because the final price reflects their decisions, driving record, and other individual factors, they won’t subsidize anyone else’s driving habits. This is the value precision pricing brings to customers.
