Evans Toyota Sponsors Fort Wayne Hear Care Connection’s “Wine and Stein” Event

PR Web

Fort Wayne, Indiana (PRWEB) October 30, 2013

Evans Toyota, located at 515 W. Coliseum Blvd in Fort Wayne, Indiana, is sponsoring Hear Care Connection’s Wine and Stein fundraiser this Friday, November 1, 2013. The event will begin at 7 p.m. at Sweetwater Sound, which is located at 5501 U.S. Hwy 30 West in Fort Wayne. The Wine and Stein event will include local fare, wine and beer tastings, a live and silent auction and live entertainment by the Jondo Trio. For tickets to the event or for more information, you can visit Hear Care Connection's website or contact the organization by phone at 260-602-3276. On October 31, 2013, Evans Toyota will be offering 10 complimentary tickets (valued at $35 each) to the Wine and Stein event at Sweetwater Sound to the first 10 people to come into the dealership and request them.

This is the first year that Evans Toyota is sponsoring the Wine and Stein event. The sponsorship is in response to being introduced to Hear Care Connection earlier this year. Hear Care Connection came into the dealership with Kayleah, a 9-year-old hearing impaired child. Kayleah bravely told her story. Her whole life changed after receiving hearing aids from Hear Care Connection and she even learned to read in two short weeks. Lori Hunt, Public Relations Manager at Evans Toyota, commented “When we met this little girl and heard her story, we fell in love with her. Our General Manager, Kyle Dudgeon, was so impressed with Kayleah, he told her that someday she should come work at Evans Toyota. She just has an amazing personality.” Kayleah, who suffers from severe bilateral hearing loss, received hearing aids from Hear Care Connection when she was 7 years old and has since become an advocate for the organization. Kayleah will join Evans Toyota in celebrating Halloween on October 31 at 10 a.m., where she will be handing out candy and be available for interviews. Local media inquiries should be directed to Lori Hunt, Public Relations Manager at Evans Toyota, at lhunt(at)evanstoyota(dot)com.

Hear Care Connection is a non-profit organization that helps low-income hearing-impaired children and adults in the Fort Wayne area, who have little or no insurance, receive affordable hearing care. They also provide hearing aids on a sliding fee scale based on what the individual is able to contribute both financially and physically through volunteer hours within the community. This allows recipients of the low-cost hearing aids to reconnect with their community as a hearing individual and be able to show their appreciation by helping others.

The organization relies on support from generous donors in the community, such as Evans Toyota. Sandy Riley, a Hear Care Connection representative, commented on the impact donors like Evans Toyota make for their organization, “Having support from businesses like Evans Toyota makes all the difference in getting the word out. Evans is so community minded that they really made it more than just a sponsorship. They really embraced it as a partnership.” Evans Toyota is a family owned business that is committed to being a strong part of the Fort Wayne community and giving back by supporting different causes and organizations within the Fort Wayne area, such as Hear Care Connection.

Evans Toyota, of Fort Wayne, Indiana, proudly serves the automotive needs of the residents of Fort Wayne and the surrounding areas. They offer the full line of New Toyota vehicles as well as a large selection of Toyota Certified Used and other quality used vehicles. For more information about Evans Toyota, please visit their website or contact them by phone at 260-482-3730. If you are interested in joining Evans Toyota in contributing to Hear Care Connection, please visit the organization's website.
