Energi and HDI-Gerling America Insurance Company Select InsurCard’s Prepaid Cards for Payments of Workers Compensation Benefits

Energi and HDI-Gerling America Insurance Company announced they have selected InsurCard's Prepaid Card program as their preferred method of paying workers' compensation benefit payments to both injured workers and healthcare providers.

According to a release, InsurCard, a company focused on prepaid card programs for workers' compensation payments, provides a complete payment solution to insurers and TPAs who make claim payments to both injured workers and healthcare providers. Leading the rapid rise of prepaid debit cards being used for paying workers' compensation, InsurCard has created a 'Total Payment Solution' that provides electronic delivery of payments to individual claimants using a plastic prepaid card and to healthcare providers using a virtual prepaid card.

For Energi and HDI-Gerling America, InsurCard's "Total Payment Solution" is a more efficient method for making claim payments to injured workers and healthcare providers than traditional paper checks. Prepaid cards cost less than checks, have built-in fraud controls, and are now widely accepted by consumers and merchants alike.
