East Coast Capital Holdings Adds Board of Director
Business Wire, Inc.
NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- East Coast Capital Holdings (ECCH), a Specialized Small Business Investment Company and a licensee of the Small Business Administration, is pleased to announce that it has added Terry McEwen to its board of directors.
Between 2006 and 2010, Mr. McEwen was the director of banking at the New Jersey Department of Banking and Insurance, where he regulated and oversaw the safety, soundness, and integrity of a $170 billion state-wide finance industry that included banks, credit unions, mortgage bankers and a variety of other financial services firms. Currently, Mr. McEwen is a managing partner of Preservation Capital Services, LLC, an investment advisory.
Mr. McEwen said, “The ECCH business plan calls for, among other things, the direct investment of equity capital into minority or women-owned depositories as well as the purchase of distressed loans from these and other institutions. I cannot think of a more timely and necessary business plan and am pleased to be part of the effort on a strategic level.”
Zindel Zelmanovitch, founder and chief executive officer of ECCH, noted, “Mr. McEwen’s background will enable East Cost to make great strides in executing its business plan.”
As a result of its status as a Specialized Small Business Investment Company and a licensee of the Small Business Administration, ECCH has access to low cost, fixed rate 10-year debentures in an amount up to three times its capital.
