Dr. Dirk Rodriguez Offers New Fast Track Program
| PR Web |
Dr. Dirk understands that weight loss is hard which is why he offers a variety of bariatric surgeries to help. However, there is usually a long wait time or weight loss requirement between the initial consultation and surgery.
This is why Dr. Dirk is now offering the Fast Track Program which allows patients to have surgery as early as one day after an initial visit with him. This option does not limit the patient to particular surgeries, but in fact, allows them to have all available options in a timely manner.
During the initial consultation, Dr. Dirk will assess the patient’s situation and help determine the best treatment option. Options include the lap band, the gastric sleeve and bypass. The lap band is an adjustable belt placed around the top of the stomach that when used properly can make the patient feel full quickly when eating. The gastric sleeve is an option that is a good compromise between the other two options. The sleeve treatment removes the large flabby portion of the stomach leaving a skinny sleeve behind which also allows the patient to feel full quickly. The last option is bypass which is considered the gold standard. This procedure splits the stomach into two portions. The top portion will be small and will collect the food while the bottom portion will be large and closed off to receiving food.
Dr. Dirk knows that for many patients, the largest issue standing in their way is with insurance and payment options. At this initial consultation, a member of the office staff will sit down with the patient personally and review their insurance information to find a cost of surgery and then implement a payment plan that works for the patients’ budget.
