His desire to match the right person to the culture, core values, and beliefs of an organization has enabled Brooks to achieve a sterling reputation among both clients and candidates. “Brooks is a sheer delight to work with and we are thrilled to recognize his contribution to our continued success,” says
“We expect our nursing education sector to be quite active, given the current critical shortage in nursing faculty, and nursing schools turning away approximately 80,000 qualified students for BSN programs last year”.
However, nursing is not the only sector to be impacted. The unemployment rate for current experienced occupational therapists is approximately 1%.....nationwide! Since 2010, there has been an 8% increase in requests for mid-level providers (nurse practitioners and physician assistants) full time and locum tenens.
For-profit, secondary education organizations across the country are ramping up new healthcare programs to meet the increasing student demand. These include: Surgical Tech, Medical Assistant, Vet Tech, Dental Assistant, and Medical Billing and Coding.
Also existing programs are expanding and becoming more diversified to encompass additional allied health, nursing and graduate nursing curricula. Health Information Management (HIM) is another discipline getting a lot of attention due to the federally- mandated EMR compliance requirement of all healthcare providers nationwide by 2014.
The government is very serious in terms of ensuring that the conversion rate to EMR technologies is appreciable and that is why along with grants and federal funding, more college-level programs aimed at creating more Health Information Management professionals are likely to be introduced as 2014 draws near. This will ensure that the impending explosion in electronic records numbers is addressed with the availability of qualified professionals—further helping to reduce the overall costs for employing healthcare computer technologies and easing the entire process.
