Cyber Security Expo Will Cover Online Fraud, Insider Threats, and More

MEMPHIS, Tenn., Sept. 29 -- University of Memphis issued the following news release:
The Center for Information Assurance at the University of Memphis will host its third annual Cyber Security Expo, "Online Fraud, Insider Threat, and Cyber Crime," on Friday, Oct. 15, in the FedEx Institute of Technology. Sessions will run from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Among the topics will be identify-theft rings, software security, insider threats, and organized cyber-crime.
Speakers will include Michael Grimaila, associate professor of information research management at the Air Force Institute of Technology; Steve Chan, chief software/web architect and security compliance lead in the Center for Public Leadership at the Harvard Kennedy School and the National Preparedness Leadership Initiative; Hal Roberts, Fellow at the Berkman Center for Internet and Society at Harvard Law School; Brian Elrod, information security officer at St. Jude Children's Research Hospital; Brian Burns, manager of customer satisfaction in Information Risk Management at AutoZone; and Natalie Granado, associate director of training in the Center for Information Assurance and Security at the University of Texas at San Antonio.
Registration is $85 if paid before Oct. 9. The fee is $125 after that. Discounts are available to U of M faculty, staff, and students and to certain groups - ASIS, ISSA, InfraGuard, and CyberWatch.
