County tours Drawdy Park for hazards

Months before, the park was toured by the county's liability insurance company and the county was previously given a list of safety hazards to correct.
During his report, Pope also delivered a recreation update.
Consultants have met with most of the council members to discuss items for a master list.
Based upon the policy process that council adopted the consultants are taking the information to come up with cost estimates, operational costs and maintenance costs.
That report will be brought back to a public work session in the future.
"Then we will have the decision making process based on how do we proceed with that information that has been placed on the list for consideration," Pope noted.
The master list was publicly voted on and the consultants will also be using their expertise to make recommendations to council.
