Colonial Consulting Announces the Appointment of Thomas Bockhorst as General Counsel

Colonial Consulting, LLC, a leading investment advisor with a core focus on not-for-profits, is pleased to announce that Thomas Bockhorst has joined the firm as General Counsel and Senior Research Advisor. With his background as both a lawyer and finance professional, Mr. Bockhorst will be contributing to the firm's research process and will be applying his expertise and broad experience to benefit the firm's continued growth and delivery of service to Colonial's clients. He will be serving as Colonial’s first general counsel.

Mr. Bockhorst joins Colonial Consulting as general counsel after ten years at Welch Foods, most recently as Finance Director - Treasurer where he oversaw Welch’s cash and risk management functions, including having responsibility for the company’s investment portfolio, hedging activities, and bank financing. Before this role, Tom served as Senior Counsel in Welch's law department handling a broad range of issues, from contracts, trademarks, advertising/promotions, HR matters, and litigation. Prior to Welch's, Mr. Bockhorst's experience included working in law firms advising clients and litigating business and employment disputes and at Deloitte & Touche working in public accounting. Mr. Bockhorst has degrees from Princeton University and New York University'sStern School, and the University of Cincinnati College of Law.
