Chek Diagnostics Now Providing eHealthScreenings with Fast Lipid (Cholesterol) and Glucose Screening Devices

PR Newswire Association LLC

INDIANAPOLIS, June 10, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Chek Diagnostics, the U.S.-based manufacturer of both the CardioChek® brand and the A1CNow® family of point-of-care diagnostic products, announced today that they have signed an agreement to provide their CardioChek Plus analyzers and lipid panel test strips to eHealthScreenings, a leading provider of onsite comprehensive wellness screening services.

Clients of eHealthScreenings include third-party administrators, employee assistance programs, human resources consultants, insurance providers, and wellness companies.

"We are excited to begin using the CardioChek system," said Jason Morgese, President of eHealthScreenings. "We needed to make a switch to an analyzer that could provide lipid panel results faster, and after thorough evaluation of the available solutions, it was clear to us that the CardioChek analyzers delivered the speed that we need for large-scale on-site screenings."

eHealthScreenings will use the CardioChek Plus, a cost-efficient, user-friendly diagnostic point-of-care analyzer that provides rapid on-site lipid panel plus glucose screenings.  The capability to deliver both results in as little as 90 seconds enables healthcare professionals to screen more individuals faster.  Offering simultaneous testing of a lipid profile (total cholesterol, HDL cholesterol, triglycerides) and glucose, the CardioChek Plus analyzer also calculates LDL cholesterol, TC/HDL ratio, LDL/HDL ratio, and non-HDL cholesterol. The CardioChek Plus device requires only a small blood sample from a fingerstick.

"We are proud to partner with eHealthScreenings," said Robert Huffstodt, President and CEO of Chek Diagnostics. "As leaders in onsite testing for major organizations, they are among the companies that are changing the way modern healthcare is delivered. Their efforts positively impact the lives of many individuals, which is the essence of our mission."

"Our services save organizations significant healthcare expense, but helping people identify ways to improve their health is the most important thing we do," continued Morgese. "The CardioChek systems are fast and easy to use; they don't require refrigeration and they are battery-operated, which are all important operational benefits for our teams."

"Our switch to Chek Diagnostics' CardioChek system advances our mission considerably," concluded Morgese.
