Card Scanning Solutions Released the Duplex Scanshell® 900DX scanner, Moving Forward with Medical Insurance Card and Driver’s License Image Capture Hardware

PR Web

Los Angeles, CA (PRWEB) April 30, 2013

Card Scanning Solutions is a leading software company specializing in image processing, and OCR (Optical Character Recognition). CSSN has released the Scanshell® 900DX scanner, an advanced medical insurance card and driver’s license reading solution which utilizes their card reading technology to automate the workflow for customer registration, check in, account origination etc. ideal for a wide variety of industries such as Financial, Security, Automotive, Hospitality, Healthcare and more.

The Scanshell® 900DX is easy-to-use, the user simply needs to place the card face-up in the slot and within seconds the image and data of the card will be captured. The captured image is high quality (up to 600 dpi true color), and the data extracted is very accurate. When there are driver’s licenses which contain a hologram, Scanshell® 900DX applies its cancellation filter to remove holograms. Additionally since the barcode and magnetic stripe are being read with the same pass, the user has the added benefit to verify whether the card appears to be authentic or not. The Scanshell® 900DX does not require calibration and cleaning, thus requiring virtually no maintenance.

Yossi Zekri, President and CEO of Card Scanning Solutions, explains, “Our customers and product team identified and reported a specific need for a duplex device with increased speed and accuracy, and furthermore capable to read magnetic stripes.”

Just like CSSN’s other hardware options, the Scanshell® 900DX comes bundled with CSSN’s OCR SDK (Software Development Kit), for integration into 3rd party applications. The complete solution enables the cards to be read and the information to be parsed, most valuable when the application requires capturing customer’s driver’s license and or medical insurance card data. The data is automatically populated in the application resulting in faster data capture, increased productivity, lower costs, and easy to use efficient workflow.
