McDowellpasses CPA test

WOOSTER -- Morgan McDowell, an accountant at Dyer, Hughes, Roche & Wilson, 121 N. Market St., passed the state requirements to become a Certified Public Accountant.

She is a graduate of West Holmes High School in 2005 and Kent State University in 2009. She has been with the accounting firm since early 2011.

She lives in Millersburg.

Hummel earns President Club award

BERLIN -- Burke Hummel, Hummel Group, earned the No. 12 position in Auto-Owners Insurance Co.'s 2011 President's Club.

The President's Club honors the top 25 agents for Auto-Owners whose life, health and annuity insurance production is the highest for the company in a calendar year.

Auto-Owners, a Fortune 500 company, has more than 20,000 agents authorized to produce life and life-related business in 26 states. This is the second time Hummel has been a President's Club member.

Hummel's agency has represented Auto-Owners Insurance Co. for more than 46 years.
