Barron’s Names 7 Janney Financial Advisors to ‘Top 1,200 Advisors’ List

Janney Montgomery Scott announced that seven of the firm's Financial Advisors have been named to Barron's 2014 list of "Top 1,200 Advisors," published February 22.

According to a release, the advisors named from Janney are: Ed Blumenthal of Philadelphia, Pa., Mark Eskin of Philadelphia, Pa., Joseph P. Hassett, Jr. of Providence, R.I., Charles J. Noble, III of New Haven, Ct., Gary Rooth of Raleigh, N.C., Jerry Scheinker of Baltimore, Md., and Allan Strange of Richmond, Va.

"These seven advisors exemplify successful financial advisors who outpace their peers because of their perseverance and dedication for building long-lasting relationships with their clients. With this national recognition, Ed, Mark, Joe, Charles, Gary, Jerry, and Allan have helped to set the standard for excellence in the financial advisory profession," said Jerry Lombard, president of the firm's Private Client Group. The Barron's list, organized by state, is based on quantitative and qualitative data provided by more than 4,000 of the nation's most accomplished advisors. Barron's analysis uses a complex formula that contains 22 points of ranking, all with various weightings. The calculation considers factors such as assets under management, revenue produced for the firm, regulatory record, quality of practice and philanthropic work.

Ed Blumenthal, Philadelphia, PA - Ranked 33rd out of 48 in Pennsylvania

Ed Blumenthal serves as Executive Vice President/Wealth Management and a senior partner of Stedmark Partners at Janney Montgomery Scott. An Accredited Wealth Management Advisorsm, Blumenthal was named a Barron's "Top Advisor" in 2013, a Financial Times "Top 400 Advisor" in 2013, and, along with his team, was recognized by the Philadelphia Business Journal as a "Top Financial Advisor in Greater Philadelphia." Also, in 2006 and 2007, he and his partner, Mark Eskin, were identified by On Wall Street magazine as among the country's "Top Advisors Under 40." Blumenthal serves on the Executive Committee of the Eastern Pennsylvania/Delaware Regional Chapter of the Anti-Defamation League and is a member of the Philadelphia Estate Planning Council. Mark Eskin, Philadelphia, PA - Ranked 32nd out of 48 in Pennsylvania

Mark Eskin serves as Executive Vice President/Wealth Management and is a senior partner of Stedmark Partners at Janney Montgomery Scott. An Accredited Wealth Management Advisorsm, Eskin was named a Barron's "Top Advisor" in 2010, 2012 and 2013, a Financial Times "Top 400 Advisor" in 2013, and, along with his team, was recognized by the Philadelphia Business Journal as a "Top Financial Advisor in Greater Philadelphia." Joseph P. Hassett, Jr., Providence, RI - Ranked 5th out of 6 in Rhode Island
