BRIEF: Greensboro woman charged in insurance fraud case

April 30--RALEIGH -- A Greensboro woman was charged in an insurance fraud case, according to an N.C. Department of Insurance news release.

Cyncirae Kioni Atkins, 35, of 1 Summit View Court, was charged with one count of insurance fraud, after she filed a claim on Oct. 10 and received $1,695, according o the release.

Nationwide Insurance Company paid the claim, according to the release.

According to the release, Atkins was arrested by the Guilford County Sheriff's Office and released under a written promise that she will appear in court.

No court appearance information was available.
