BRIEF: Badger Mutual Insurance names David Kane president [Milwaukee Journal Sentinel]

Jan. 29--David Kane has been named the new president of Badger Mutual Insurance Co., the Milwaukee-based insurer said Tuesday.

Kane has been with Badger Mutual Insurance since 1984, beginning as a property adjuster. He was promoted to various positions within the company and most recently was executive vice president of insurance operations.

He has been on the board of directors since April 2012.

"With almost 30 years of experience with Badger Mutual Insurance, we couldn't have chosen a more dedicated and knowledgeable individual to lead the company forward," Steve Klima, a board member and audit committee chairman for Badger Mutual, said in a statement announcing the promotion.

The former president, Roy Bubeck, remains Badger Mutual's chief executive officer and a member of the board of directors.

Badger Mutual sells a range of personal and commercial insurance products. It operates in Wisconsin, Illinois, Michigan, Iowa, Minnesota, Nevada, Idaho, Utah, Wyoming and Arizona.
