AssureStart Appoints Sheryl Medeiros as General Counsel

AssureStart has appointed Sheryl Medeiros as general counsel.
According to a company release, in her new role, Medeiros will oversee all company legal, regulatory and compliance matters. She also will participate on AssureStart's business development team.
Medeiros previously was executive vice president at United Guaranty (UGC), where she played a key role in the turnaround of the company's mortgage insurance business from 2009-2013. During that time, Medeiros served as general counsel, with responsibility for UGC's global legal, regulatory, compliance and government affairs functions, and chief executive officer of UGC's international business.
"We are excited to welcome Sheryl to AssureStart," said Greg Tacchetti, AssureStart president and CEO. "Sheryl brings a wealth of legal and management experience to the team. She will be a major contributor as we continue our national expansion - both in terms of our service footprint and our strategic distribution partnerships."
