EXHIBITION OF THE LEGACY OF THE GOLDEN STATE MUTUAL LIFE INSURANCE COMPANY: MORE THAN A BUSINESS

Come and see an exhibit dedicated to the historic Golden State Mutual Life Insurance Company (GSM). Beginning in 1928. GSM grew to become a beacon of pride and honor for the African American community. From it's beginnings on the top floor at 4261 Central Avenue to its historic landmark at the corner of Western and Adams Blvd., this institution set the tone for Black businesses to come.
