The public voted for five finalists in Angel MedFlight Air Ambulance’s first Holiday Homecoming campaign, and the public’s choice was
Lori nominated Michael, who donated bone marrow through the international registry and ultimately, in her words, saved her life. For more than seven years they have waited to meet as they now share the same DNA and consider themselves family. She asked to be considered and fly home this man who gave her the ultimate gift, life.

Interested participants submitted an essay of 500 words or less, on why their nominee should be chosen for the homecoming flight. The promotion was open to anyone and all stories were encouraged.
