This change is being made to add the following clauses to this combined synopsis/ solicitation: 52.228-5 -- Insurance - Work on a Government Installation LOCAL CLAUSE 52.000-4014 MINIMUM REQUIRED INSURANCE a. WORKMEN'S COMPENSATION AND EMPLOYER'S LIABILITY INSURANCE. Contractor shall comply with all applicable workmen's compensation Statutes of the State of Mississippi, and shall furnish evidence of Employer's Liability Insurance in an amount of not less than $100,000. b. GENERAL LIABILITY INSURANCE. Bodily injury liability insurance in the minimum limits of $500,000 per occurrence on the comprehensive form of policy and property damage insurance of $20,000 per occurrence on the comprehensive form of policy. c. AUTOMOBILE LIABILITY INSURANCE. Minimum limits of $200,000 per person and $500,000 per occurrence for bodily injury and $20,000 per occurrence for property damage. This insurance shall be on the comprehensive form of policy and shall cover the operation of all automobiles used in the performance of the contract. 52.222-41 -- Service Contract Act of 1965 52.222-42 -- Statement of Equivalent Rates for Federal Hires 52.236-13 -- Accident Prevention A site visit will be held on September 30, 2013 at 1:30 p.m. Central Time at the Engineer Research and Development Center (ERDC), 3909 Halls Ferry Road, Vicksburg, MS 39180. Attendees must notify Scott Humphreys at [email protected] in advance that they plan to attend the site visit. In addition, the following information must be provided: Attendee Name, Company Name, Phone #, and e-mail address. Attendees should notify Scott Humphreys in advance or they may not be allowed to attend. Visitors must report to the Public Affairs office located in building 1000 in order to get a visitor badge and to meet the Technical POC who will conduct the site visit. In addition, the date/ time for receipt of offers has been extended until October 2, 2013 at 4:30 p.m.. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in the notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation Number W81EWF32541639 is being issued as a Request for Quotes (RFQ) with intent to award as a simplified acquisition. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-69. This requirement is a 100% set-aside for Economically Disadvantaged Women-Owned Small Business Concerns under North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code 561730 with a Small Business size standard of sale of $7,000,000.00. The US Army Corps of Engineers, Engineer Research and Development Center (ERDC) Contracting Office, has a requirement for lawn maintenance service at ERDC in Vicksburg, MS for approximately 4 weeks between the months of October and November 2013 as outlined in the attached Performance Work Statement. The bid schedule is outlined below. Services Required/Place of Performance: All services shall be performed in accordance with the attached PWS, technical exhibits, and Drawing P-156H, sheets 1 thru 30. Schedule/Pricing: The period of performance consists of approximately thirty-one days or end of cutting seasons fiscal year 2013. Note: All items of the detailed bidding schedule must be completed.
