Abilene Regional Medical Center Aligns with MDSave
Proquest LLC
MDSave reported a strategic alliance with Abilene Regional Medical Center.
"In today's marketplace, healthcare can be confusing and expensive, especially for consumers who are uninsured or carry high- deductible insurance plans," said Ron Bennett, CFO Abilene Regional Medical Center, in a release. "We are bringing an industry-changing service to Texas, which will help patients access quality healthcare at a more affordable rate."
MDSave offers a combination of educational information, transparent pricing data and ratings.
"A strategic alliance with Abilene Regional Medical Center is an important step toward making healthcare more accessible, affordable and transparent in Texas," said MDSave co-founder and CEO Paul Ketchel. "We know that the cost of preventive treatments like diagnostic imaging is often a factor in consumers neglecting to have them. A recent National Cancer Institute study found that CT scans reduced the risk of death from lung cancer by 20 percent. We hope that our strategic alliance will increase Texans' access to quality imaging and, as a result, help save lives."
