ACS Appoints Connie Harvey Group President of Business Process Solutions ACS Appoints Connie Harvey Group President of Business Process Solutions

DALLAS--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Affiliated Computer Services, Inc. (NYSE: ACS) has named Connie Harvey group president of the Business Process Solutions group overseeing ACS’ Commercial Healthcare, Insurance and Financial Services lines of business. She reports to Tom Blodgett, executive vice president and chief operating officer of ACS’ commercial operations.

“ACS is committed to providing visionary leadership, quantifiable success and new opportunities to our clients,” said Blodgett. “Connie Harvey is a proven leader who has surpassed goals at all levels. ACS’ clients will benefit from her ability to grow a business, develop new services and technologies and do it in a cost effective manner.”

As a leading provider of business process and information technology outsourcing to the healthcare and financial services industries, ACS offers a full array of services so enterprises can operate more efficiently and effectively using world-class technology and outsourcing services to lower its client’s costs, improve their quality, increase accuracy, enhance overall service, and maximize productivity.

Previously, Harvey was managing director of the Healthcare Payer and Insurance delivery unit for ACS, nearly tripling annual revenue in five years. As a result of Harvey's focus on quality, customers in the insurance and payer line of business now report the highest customer satisfaction levels in company history. While managing director, Harvey oversaw business development, technology development and client relationships. Healthcare Payer & Insurance Services supports more than 35 major payer and insurance organizations and nine of the top 10 payer companies. Harvey fueled strong growth by adding 16 new customer logos to the portfolio and nearly doubling revenues over the past three years.

An early adopter of utilizing offshore operations, Harvey spent 18 years in consulting and operations management in the Caribbean. She joined ACS in 2001 when ACS acquired National Processing Company in Montego Bay, Jamaica. Harvey graduated with distinction from Iowa State University with a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering.

In commercial healthcare, ACS touches the lives of nearly one in every three insured individuals in the United States and performs transactions for nine of the top 10 managed care health plans – a total of 250 million claims annually – providing 99.5 percent data quality and reducing processing costs by up to 50 percent. ACS also provides hospitals, clinics, and medical practitioners with information technology, clinical solutions and management services so providers can operate more efficiently and effectively. These services are provided through ACS' Healthcare Solutions and IT Outsourcing lines of business, enabling clients to reduce costs, enhance revenue, increase productivity and improve patient care. Separately, ACS also includes a government healthcare line of business which focuses on state and federal health programs such as Medicaid and Medicare.

With more than 40 years of experience supporting banks, credit card companies and mortgage and financial services firms, ACS serves the top 15 FORTUNE 500 banks and credit card issuers, capturing more than 300 million documents annually; and retrieving nearly 16 million images annually. ACS processes and houses more than 830 million mutual fund transactions annually, hosts more than 1 billion mortgage loan images and stores more than 300 billion critical data images in secure underground storage.
