56% of People Prefer to Purchase Insurance From a Local Agent, Survey Says

PR Web

Sacramento, CA (PRWEB) October 15, 2012

For the last 5 years CheapInsurance.com has been one of the leading online insurance quote providers in the auto insurance industry, helping thousands of customers acquire low cost insurance policies each year via their online quote system.

One of the attributes that has made CheapInsurance.com successful over the years is their uncanny ability to pinpoint and understand the minds of their consumers. Their chief strategy in helping them accomplish this is their highly targeted consumer surveys.

In their most recent survey CheapInsurance.com found an interesting insight that is helping mold and shape their business model and something that could reverse a trend in the auto insurance industry in the near future. In response to one of the key questions in their most recent survey, 56% of respondents said they prefer to purchase their insurance policies from local agents and in-person rather than online or over the phone.

"To be honest we were very surprised by the results of this survey," said President of CheapInsurance.com, Fausto R Bucheli Jr. "We knew that local agents were a major factor in purchasing decisions but the in-person factor versus online really surprised us."

As a result of this survey, CheapInsurance.com has adapted its online strategies to include local directory pages that help people get in contact with local agencies throughout the United States. Their plan is to help increase the transparency between agencies and consumers so that consumers can ultimately get the lowest-priced quote possible.

"We have already received positive feedback from many consumers due to the changes we have made;" continued President of CheapInsurance.com, Fausto R Bucheli Jr. "We are excited to keep these surveys going so we can continue to help our consumers in a positive way."
