55+ Driver Discount program classes offered locally in person

Precision Driving Center of Minnesota will be offering 55+ Driver Discount courses locally, including 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.July 17 and 12:30-4:30 p.m.Aug. 21 at the Waseca Senior Citizens Center, 308 State St. N.

As of July 1, 2024, there are no more eight-hour classes required in the state of Minnesota. Participants take a four-hour course to initially earn the discount and will retake the course every three years to maintain their discount with their auto insurance provider.
A certified instructor covers tips for driver and passenger safety, new laws, new vehicle technology, things that can influence our driving, and updates on traffic designs. There are no tests. The cost of the class is $24.
