- Median household income:
$58,869 , down from 2010 ($60,409 ). - Median earnings for male full-time, year-round workers:
$45,871 . - Median earnings for female full-time, year-round workers:
$40,700 . - With Food Stamp/SNAP benefits: 8.3 percent; up from 6.6 percent in 2010.
2013 Poverty
- Below poverty level: 17.6 percent of people. This was up from 16.3 percent in 2010.
- Children below poverty level: 25.3 percent in 2013. This was up from 22.6 percent in 2010.

- Percent insured with private health insurance: 55.9 percent. This was not statistically different from 56.1 percent in 2010.
- Uninsured: 20.2 percent. This was down from 22.2 percent in 2010.

Medicaid in states that decided to expandMedicaid eligibility): 30.7 percent. Under the Affordable Care Act, states have the option of expandingMedicaid eligibility to those with incomes at or below 138 percent of the poverty threshold. - Uninsured at 200 percent of poverty threshold and over: 13.6 percent.
