Mike Stewart Joins OneAmerica As Employee Benefits Regional VP
INDIANAPOLIS (Feb. 28, 2022) — Mike Stewart has joined the executive leadership team of the OneAmerica Employee Benefits at OneAmerica as a regional vice president. Stewart will oversee sales teams and account managers in key offices throughout six states that comprise the company’s central region. (It encompasses seven major cities: Detroit, Indianapolis, Kansas City, Houston, Dallas, Chicago and Denver.)
“Mike is the right leader at the right time for the Employee Benefits division of OneAmerica, and he will be an integral influence as we continue to expand our reach,” said Steven Lynch, national vice president of sales and service, Employee Benefits at OneAmerica. “He has a proven history of creating and nurturing high-performing, relationship-focused teams committed to success and service.”
Stewart has more than 28 years of experience, highlighted by two decades of individual and team achievement at The Hartford. Most recently, he led Aflac Group Insurance’s Dallas Regional Sales team, achieving strategic growth through strong partnerships. He understands the needs of employer groups of all sizes.
Stewart said the culture at OneAmerica impressed him greatly. He points to the company’s start-to-finish commitment to excellence — from onboarding to compassionate claims, and the way it provides brokers the solutions, experience and insights needed to help grow their business.
“We’re excited about the team we are growing, the talent we have, and the options we can offer in a niche market where we’re known to do an amazing job,” Stewart said. “Our message in collaborating with brokers and employers is simple: A strong life and disability program is paramount to paycheck protection.”
Stewart graduated with a bachelor’s in Economics from St. Lawrence University in New York.
