February is designated by the American Veterinary Medical Association as National Pet Dental Health Month. As I do every year, I want to spend some time discussing this very important subject. The American Veterinary Dental Society reports that 80% of dogs and 70% of cats show signs of oral disease by the time they are only three years old!
