Western & Southern Introduces “Fourth And Goal” Program
CINCINNATI – March 31, 2016 – In conjunction with the upcoming National Retirement Planning Week® 2016 (NRPW), Western & Southern Financial Group (Western & Southern) today introduced its “Fourth and Goal” retirement income education program.
“Baby Boomers entering retirement, around 10,000 every day, are largely unsure of their financial future, according to the latest research by the Insured Retirement Institute,” said Mark E. Caner, president, W&S Financial Group Distributors, Inc., the wholesale distributor of annuities and life insurance from Western & Southern member companies. “Through efforts such as our ‘Fourth and Goal’ retirement income education program, consumers can become more knowledgeable about their retirement by gaining an appreciation for the associated risk factors and employing planning strategies to address those risks.”
Incorporating a football game analogy to facilitate interest and understanding, the Fourth and Goal program equips financial professionals with easy-to-use resources as they help clients:
- Identify field position with the Income Fact Finder — evaluating expected expense needs and estimated income sources.
- Chart action options in the Income Playbook — mapping strategies focused on timing considerations and risk attitudes.
- Take the field with a Game Plan — bringing together all the elements in an actionable retirement income strategy tailored to the individual financial situation.
“At Western & Southern, we remain committed to advancing America’s retirement conversation,” said Caner. “Offering consumer-friendly programs in recognition of National Retirement Planning Week is another way to support that effort.”
The National Retirement Planning Coalition – a group of prominent education, consumer advocacy and financial services organizations spearheaded by the Insured Retirement Institute – has organized NRPW. This initiative is a national effort to help consumers focus on their financial needs in retirement.
