There are solid points made on both sides.
But here's what matters, in my view: The partial shutdown of the US government is heading into its 30th day, and it's already been more expensive than Trump's proposed
While it's true that those funds likely will not build 1,000 miles worth of border security -- 150 miles is more realistic -- at least taxpayers would be getting something for their money.
We do need secure borders. We obviously have to vet people who want to come into
Are the vast majority of Mexican "illegals" crossing our borders to wreak havoc? I think not. I think they're people who want to make their lives better, and more importantly, make their children's lives better.
That being said, Trump wants a wall. He won the election, which means a whole lot of people in this country agree with him.
And, as
We can't afford for this ridiculous shutdown to linger into February, with federal workers and their families suffering.
And let's put this in perspective --
