Storm strikes hard on rural Cadott farm
"I bawled all morning -- I'm going to bawl again," Danielson said.
The storm hit the Danielson property, located at 11652 Highway EE in the
"I heard this 'chugga-chugga-chugga' sound, then the glass started flying,"
"I could look out the window and see stuff flying by," he said. "Barn boards went through each window of our bedroom. It's just a mess, and I'm just thankful no one got hurt."
Several friends and family members rushed to help.
"It's a mess," Greene said. "It dropped right on top of them."
"A terrible, terrible mess, but no one got hurt, and that's what's important," Burish said.
"It's just unbelievable," Kowalczyk said. "He has a flag pole bent in half -- that's a lot of force."
Kowalczyk said it rained hard at Rock Fest -- a few miles northwest of the Danielson farm -- and the concert was briefly halted, but no damage or injuries were reported there.
"Cornell had the most power outages and trees down," Brown said. "It was a lot of the city of Cornell that had power out."
