Snyder-- who has touted his Healthy Michigan Medicaid expansion program as a model for the nation, reducing expensive hospital visits through a formula that lowers recipients' costs for healthy behaviors -- has objected to the new plan, saying in his letter today that, "While reforming the nation's health care system is vital, it is imperative that gains in health coverage and access to care are maintained. These ideas are not mutually exclusive."
