Rep. Riggleman Introduces Bill to Ensure Coverage for Individuals With Preexisting Conditions

WASHINGTON, Aug. 7 -- Rep. Denver Riggleman, R-Va., has introduced legislation (H.R. 4159) to amend the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act to ensure coverage for individuals with preexisting conditions.
The bill was introduced on Aug. 2 and was co-sponsored by Reps. Ann Wagner, R-Mo., Bill Huizenga, R-Mich., Dan Newhouse, R-Wash., and Jaime Herrera Beutler, R-Wash. It was jointly referred to the House Energy and Commerce, Ways and Means and Education and Labor committees.
