Rep. Jolly Introduces Bill on State Natural Catastrophe Insurance Programs

WASHINGTON, April 16 -- Rep. David Jolly, R-Fla., has introduced legislation (H.R. 4947) to "establish a program to provide reinsurance for State natural catastrophe insurance programs to help the U.S. better prepare for and protect its citizens against the ravages of natural catastrophes, to encourage and promote mitigation and prevention for, and recovery and rebuilding from such catastrophes, and to better assist in the financial recovery from such catastrophes."
The bill was introduced on April 14. It was referred to the House Financial Services Committee.
