The government claims Shayne Kniss helped himself to more than $500,000 of his investors’ money. Kniss, 42, who operated Iris Capital Management Group, raised about $4.3 million from 47 investors from 2011 to 2014, according to court documents. But Iris, as first reported by The Oregonian/ OregonLive in February 2016, was a disaster.
