If last week's decision were taken to its logical conclusion, the whole of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act would be tossed into the trash. Those who've detested the law from before it was even implemented would doubtless be happy to see such an outcome -- for at least a minute or two.
Obamacare will celebrate its 10th anniversary in just three months. The health care business hasn’t loved it fully, but doctors and insurers and others have gotten used to it, know how to work with it. Turning it all upside-down and starting over from scratch is the last thing those folks want.
