Preparing for Hurricane Season - What to Think About:
1. Among other things, consider taking steps to better prepare your property, like making sure your downspouts are clean and directed away from the house, trimming or removing damaged trees and tree limbs, securing and reinforcing your roof, as well as ensuring your sump pump is working and the battery is fully charged.
2. Prepare a disaster plan and practice with your family.
3. Maintain an up-to-date home or business inventory.
4. Review your home, vehicle, and/or business insurance coverage with your insurer or agent.
5. Consider purchasing flood insurance.
