SPRINGFIELD, Ill. (AP) _ Horace Mann Educators Corp. (HMN) on Monday reported first-quarter net income of $15.3 million.
The Springfield, Illinois-based company said it had profit of 37 cents per share.
The provider of auto and homeowners' insurance for teachers and other educators posted revenue of $287.3 million in the period.
Horace Mann shares have dropped slightly more than 8 percent since the beginning of the year. In the final minutes of trading on Monday, shares hit $39.25, an increase of 24 percent in the last 12 months.
