Holland & Knight Advises Charles Taylor InsureTech on Expansion in Latin America

MIAMI, Florida, May 11 -- Holland and Knight, a law firm, issued the following news release:
Holland & Knight acted as local U.S. counsel to Charles Taylor InsureTech, a subsidiary of Charles Taylor plc, in its acquisition of Inworx, an insurance-focused technology consultancy and software provider for insurance brokers, insurers and non-traditional insurance agents. The purchase allows Charles Taylor InsureTech to expand its capabilities in the Latin American insurance technology market.
The deal involved the acquisition of companies and assets in several countries, including Argentina, Peru, Uruguay, Mexico and the United States. As a result of the purchase, Charles Taylor InsureTech will add multiple international and local insurance market clients in 15 countries in Latin America. Charles Taylor InsureTech will also become one of the largest technology consultancy, business change and implementation providers in Latin America, with access to over 470 employees delivering proprietary software solutions to insurers, brokers and markets.
The total consideration payable is capped at $50.5 million.
Holland & Knight Miami-based Partner Emma Solaun served as local counsel in the U.S. to Charles Taylor InsureTech. Luis Felipe Arze of CMS Chile was global lead counsel.
