As part of a series of workshops the commissioner is delivering at community colleges throughout the state, Kobylowksi will present a town-hall style workshop and answer student questions from
The commissioner will discuss financial issues such as college-issued debit cards, credit cards, life and health insurance and student loans. He will also go over basic financial literacy principles, such as setting a budget and how to shop for banking services.
"When college students get to campus they are asked to make financial decisions that can have an impact as lasting as the major they choose and the careers they explore," said Commissioner Kobylowski. "When college students set budgets and spend within them, select a low-cost bank account and manage their debt wisely, they set the tone for a strong financial foundation throughout life."
