FHA extends foreclosure storm relief
FHA is extending relief in counties and municipalities that
FHA is telling lenders and servicers to suspend all foreclosure actions against borrowers until
FHA-insured homeowners qualify for this relief if the household lives in the declared disaster area; a household member died, is missing or was injured directly in the disaster; or
the borrower's ability to make mortgage payments is directly or substantially affected by a disaster.
FHA also is offering forbearance and loan modification options for FHA borrowers affected by disasters; making mortgage insurance available; making insurance available for mortgages and home rehabilitation; and is sharing information with
